What's the secret to a successful life? That's a question that you must answer for yourself, and once you do, it's essential to design a develop action steps that allow you to live an Intentional Life of success.

I've often defined success as 3 major elements:

  • Practicing forgiveness and loving of all...including yourself
  • Living a life of meaning and purpose
  • Giving back to your community

It took me many years to come up with this definition of success and even more years to live it. As a child, I didn't have the parental figures to help me connect the realities of authenticity, beliefs, or values.  This is a busy time of year for me with the holidays, family activities, work, and preparing for the next launch of A Pilgrimage to Self for 2019 New Year, New You. 

Because of all this activity, I've been reviewing lots of materials from the membership, sharing a series on wellness and abundance on the blog, and doing research for a couple of future projects. It's a exhilarating time for me, and I'm excited to be sharing with you. I know these tips and strategies have been helpful for me, and I'm happy to have the opportunity to share them.

The Physical Room

A House With Four Rooms is based on an Indian Proverb that states we should do something daily for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Today, I’m sharing about my Physical Room. 

Because I’m actively working on recovery from some health issues, I’ve decided to begin with a closer look at my physical room. My physical room does not consist of only exercise, but it encompasses so much more. But I can address the issue of exercise straight away; I don’t have a regular exercise routine, but walking seems to fit the bill. I monitor the number of steps I take each day; my goal is to reach 10,000 steps per day and begins with a morning walk. I typically walk for about 45 minutes at a moderate pace and get around 5000 steps to start my day. For the rest of the day, I take the stairs whenever possible, park further away from the entrance than necessary, and stand every hour or so.
