Find Fun New Things to Do That Don’t Cost a Thing

 One area where many of us overspend is entertainment. After working hard at our jobs and taking care of other responsibilities, we want to do fun things in our spare time. It’s even better when we can spend this time with the important people in our lives.

Entertainment costs can really add up, but they don’t have to. Now’s a good time to change your mindset and realize there are a lot of things you can do for free. Here’s a list of fun things to do that don’t cost a thing to get you started:

  • Host a board game night
  • Go geocaching
  • Visit a free museum
  • Check your community calendar
  • Have a picnic
  • Spread a blanket under the stars
  • Go to a national park
  • Host a bonfire
  • Head to the library
  • Visit friends and family
  • See a free zoo or aquarium
  • Read a book
  • Volunteer with a cause you admire
  • Get out in nature
  • Learn something new
  • Do a craft
  • Go work out or exercise
  • Host a potluck dinner
  • Play in a community sports league
  • Listen to a new podcast
  • Bake or cook something
  • Clean out your closets
  • Have a yard sale
  • Sight see in your town or a nearby area

These are some quick entertainment ideas to consider, either by yourself or with others. As you can see, there are lots of ways to spend your time for free.
